Laurel Lake  is a scenic, lesser-known body of water located in Quinton Township within Salem County, New Jersey. While it maintains a relatively quiet profile compared to larger commercial lakes in the state, it offers a few appealing features.

Laurel Lake Geography

Located in Quinton Township, an area deeply rooted in agricultural history and early New Jersey settlement, the lake contributes to the rich watershed and wetland ecosystems typical of the inner coastal plain region of Southern New Jersey.

Lauren Lake is located just outside of the small town of Quinton, running parallel to Rt. 49, the road that connects Salem and Bridgeton.

  • The lake covers approximately 32 acres and the water surface sits at an elevation of about 13 feetabove sea level.

  • Like most Coastal Plain millponds, it's characteristically shallow, averaging around 3 to 6 feet across most of its basin, with deeper pockets reaching up to roughly 8 to 10 feet near the dam.
