If you count his first experience with a camera  as a 4th grade
elementary student on a class trip to the Philadelphia Zoo,
Bruce has been a Pitman New Jersey Photographer for over 40 years.

All of the original photography was black and white
and none of the photography won any awards.

The subjects of the photos were his childhood friends,
his dog and things around the neighborhood.

As a young boy he remembers his family portrait being taken at home
by another Pitman New Jersey photographer, Jimmy Logue of  "The Studio."

He wasn't taking many family portraits in New Jersey back then.
The first official family portrait he took was of himself,  his three sisters
and parents, posed in the back yard on the roof of a 1965 Plymouth Valiant.

After that he did some sports photography, nature photography,
beach photography at the New Jersey shore with a few paid family portraits.

Bruce tried studying chemical engineering for two years at the
University of Delaware where his favorite elective course turned
out to be "Introduction to Photography."

He  dropped out of college temporarily and returned to Pitman New Jersey,
where his Mom encouraged him to follow his passion as a photographer.
